Yellow-top battery

I run a red top and use the car approximately once a week. Very happy with the performance, not hesitated once. Remember, yellow top is not designed for cranking, red top is.

my halfords battery has been fine for almost 3 years of ocational use.

if you still have the recipt you may be able to get a new one as my one has a 5 year guarantee

There are also solar chargers which can be used to keep the battery topped up.

If you can check the battery is being charged properley and make sure that somthings not draining it like the light in the boot.

Do what Aston do!
Battery cut off switch for all but the essentials and a trickler charger every couple of weeks for a few hours.
It's not the batteries fault!

+1 for disconnecting it. That's what I do with my bike if I'm not going to be using it for more than a few weeks. Starts the bike fine when I reconnect it.

I think all three Red/Yellow/Blue are all designed for Cranking these days... at least that's what there website says:-
