Don't even think about the SO3s if you're buying them as spares. The SO3 is more of an all-weather tyre than the SO2, certainly better in the wet, though sacrificing some dry weather adhesion. You certainy shouldn't have a mixture of SO2s and SO3s from back to front and on the same 'axle' they'd be lethal. You need to go with one or the other all round.

That last price you quoted is about right (It's roughly what I paid) Some people have got them for just South of 100 quid.

Yes, I know. Jeez, this is my fourth car off these guys in 7 years - you'd think they'd show a bit of appreciation. Anyway, thanks for confirming my suspicions, Simmo, - I'll get an email off to them now. Oooh, this won't be pretty...

This is about the right price for Honda supplied tyres. This is the price that Honda (UK) charges for the supply of tyres through their system. The dealer does not make a lot of profit on them, it is Honda (UK) who is ripping the owners off.

If the dealer was to use a Bridgestone distributor, they could get the tyres at a more realistic price. Maybe they do not know that the correct tyre is available through the Bridgestone distribution channels, or does not want the risk of supplying the wrong tyre.

I suspect the answer will be.... one! The only way you can get a punctured wheel n the boot is to remove the tookit moulding from the bottom of the boot. The wheel then fits in upright and the lid closes. Whether or not you can bend a couple of tyres to fit in I wouldn't like to guess, and I'm not sure it would be good for the tyres!
