2005 S2000 GT Facelift Moonrock
After a lot of hesitating and changing my mind in the last year I have decided to sell my S2000, as I just do not have enough time to drive it. It has been my “Sunday car” for the last 4 and a half years but with a young family I am not getting enough opportunities to drive it.
Those who know me will know that I absolutely adore this car, and it has been extremely well taken care of under my ownership.
Mine is the GT version (with hardtop), Moonrock grey. Sorry no picture of the hardtop as it is still tucked away in the garage.
It has had 2 previous owners, and I purchased it from a lady owner. I spent a lot of time looking for the right car at the time, viewed many, and it has paid off as the car has been 100% reliable under my ownership, bar a battery change, and 2 seized brake calipers (the Achilles heel of the S2000 as we know!)
The car has done just over 71,500 miles.
Last MOT obtained on 05/05/2017 at 71368 miles, with no advisories.
It is an 05 plate, arguably one of the best years: it benefits from the facelift upgrades, 17” wheels and suspensions upgrades, but stays on the very reasonable road tax bracket (Currently £305).
The car has got a full service history, and very importantly has had the geometry checked and adjusted under my ownership by reputable specialist Micheldevers.
It sits on 4 nearly new, high quality tyres, Goodyear Eagle F1.
The car is currently fitted with a Backyard Special lowered seat rail, which lowers the standard seat by 20mm. It is a great mod especially for taller people. I have the original seat rail and will provide it as part of the sale.
There are absolutely no other mods, the car is as it came out of the factory.
Service history is as follows:
- 25/05/05: Delivery of the vehicle
- 21/11/05 11938 miles: Service - Honda Darlington
- 08/03/06 18363 miles: Service - Honda Darlington
- 19/09/06 27674 miles: Service - Honda Darlington
- 13/03/08 36549 miles: Service - Honda Darlington
- 26/11/09 46609 miles: Service - Honda Darlington
- 25/06/12 60759 miles: Service - Autotonic Petersfield
Under my ownership:
- 01/03/2013 64798 miles: Service , included replacement of gearbox and diff oil- BMS, Botley (this is my local trusted mechanic who has been looking after all our cars for many years)
- 16/08/2013 66037 miles: 4 new tyres, Geometry - Micheldevers
- 09/05/2014 66877 miles: Service (included 4 new Ferodo brake pads & replaced brake fluid) - BMS, Botley
- 24/04/15 68716 miles: Service - BMS, Botley
- 12/05/2016 69751 miles: Service - BMS, Botley
Under my ownership, the car has been kept garaged at all times, has only been filled with Shell V Power fuel, Castrol Edge oil and original honda parts during the service.
The car is HPI clear.
The only bad points I can think of are:
- Just one key
- There are a couple of car park marks on the body work, a few stonechips on the bonnet. Not bad at all by any means but I thought I would mention it.
- Alloys could do with a refurbishment (I must say none of the scratches were made under my ownership!)
- The AC could do with re-gasing as it is not very cold.
I would like £10,750 ONO.
The car can be viewed in Sarisbury Green (between Southampton and Portsmouth), Hampshire.

Hi all
The car is back on the market, buyer pulled out and never came to see the car unfortunately!
I might just put a few more miles on it this weekend since the sun is out
