Default Brakes suitable for road and track wanted

Hi all

Took the S out to Castle Combe on Monday for my first track day and loved it!! But, burnt out the brakes a bit much so I'm keen to upgrade the brakes to something that won't effect road use too much but will hold out better on the track.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Ewan

Just a thought, are your standard brakes in good condition and have you had the fluid replaced recently ??

I did a 40 minute hard session at Donington a little while ago and had no problems on the spoon discs and pads I had, but then again never had any problems with the standard ones either.

Unfortunately they are not in good nick - I bought the car a couple of months ago with every intention of getting new brakes, was just waiting for the track day before deciding whether to go with standard brakes or pay a bit more and track it more often.

Stocky

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate the thought but I'm on a tight budget. I've asked around everyone I know who tracks their cars and looked into prices etc and I think I'm going to go with some EBC discs and the redstuff pads (coming out at

Thanks for the help, suggestions, offers and advice, if anyone is interested I have now bought through ebcbrakesdirect.com. I ordered over the phone to try to confirm a delivery date and surprisingly enough for a mass order website, they were extremely helpful and guaranteed me delivery on the day I wanted! ...Might be worth a look if anyone else is thinking of updating their brakes on a budget...
