I've been thinking about one of these for a while - might make my annual Ring Trip a little easier on the packing side - especially with the LSB installed! : )

Presumably the design of the carrier spreads the weight over the (easily deformable) boot lid?

I'd be interested but I'm not UK mainland : (

I can find out how much it will cost to get to Jersey but it would be in addition to this cost.

As you're a tax exile, I expect you can afford it

I think you'll be surprised how rigid the boot rack and boot are, when its fitted! Those curved metal straps are solid metal (they don't bend). Its all very secure.

As it happens, I'm looking to get another S in the next few months and I'm actually in two minds about selling the rack. My main reason for selling is that it takes up room in my already cluttered garage and I didn't get as much use out of it as I originally predicted. The plan was to use it for carry ing the odd suitcase and snowbaords but that never happened.

Hope you are well.

Hi Mirren/Sarren [never quite understood that? ]

I'm fine thank you!

I hope you're looking after my old car properly. I might offer to buy it back off you when the price is right as long as you haven't drainpiped the exhausts and furry diced it up in the meantime.

The picture of the car in this post was the first S I had before I got the Monza.

I'm 'sort of' looking for another one ...although its mainly just prepping myself by keeping my eye in until I'm financially better placed to buy one as a third car. This might be just few months longer because I really want to buy one outright without owing money on my credit card [for a change]. So its save up for it first, before buying no. 3.

God, I miss the S!!!!

Wanna buy a boot rack?

No thanks I think you should keep it for your next S

The car's fantastic Talking about exhausts etc it's had a few mods so far, nothing you'd disapprove of I'm sure

Sarren = amalgamation of my wife and my name (her idea )

I look after the for sale thread so can keep you updated on the latest cars on this site

I'm probably looking for Silverstone or Moonrock or possibly Black [at a push] with a bit of red leather (or red & black). 2002 model onwards, because of the glass rear screen. If there was any way you could remember to give me a nudge when any new ones pop up with this criteria, that would be much appreciated?

I'll still look in every so often anyway.

This boot rack would look the biz on MRP. I really do think you need one! i mean ...just think of those romantic weekends away with your wife ...wind blowing through your hair, sheepskin jacket with scarf blowing in the wind, and the old leather suitcase on your shiny new boot rack.

Personally I think the silver of the boot rack clashes with the Monza

I will try and remember your (boring ) choices
