Default FS: UK EGR/Airpump delete kit

Honda S2000 Airpump/EGR delete kit

Me and my s2000 buddy in NL have put together a few of these kits after using this on his and my own s2000 and am pleased to be able to offer this to our fellow s2000 owners who can’t be bothered soldering the resistor and sourcing the other necessary parts themselves.

The kit is for European and JDM s2000s only (USDM cars have a different system) and here’s a summary of what it does:

Remove:
- Remove airpump
- Remove EGR
- Remove airpump/EGR piping
- Remove vacuum lines and metal bracket
- Remove plastic vacuum tank on cross member

Replace:
- Replace valve cover breather pipe
- Replace throttle body coolant pipe

And install:
- stainless steel EGR blank off plate
- Airpump dummy resistor
- Rubber cap for intake tube airpump connection
- Rubber cap for vacuum nipple on intake manifold

This is what’s included in the kit:

All this comes out, near 5kg worth of pointless gobbins:

Even though the kit has now been successfully installed on 2 UK cars, I advise to fit the resistor first and check if a CEL comes up before removing everything. I am confident it will work on all EDM/JDM models but if it doesn’t work or doesn’t fit I am happy to take returns and refund the money. Fitting this kit is at your own risk.

It’s a pretty straight forward job, I managed to get it all done in under 2 hours.

Price for the complete kit is £40 delivered.

PM me for prices of individual items if you don’t want/need the whole kit.

Winfried, do you have a picture of under the bonnet once all the gubbins are removed so I can see how much of the piping is tidied up? I know we've chatted over Whatsapp about it but it would be nice to see exactly what disappears from sight along the fuel rail/inlet manifold area if possible

Ok, here's some pictures from during the removal of it all, I'll make some more end result photos tonight.

Airpump gone:

Airpump to intake tube connection cover:

Same one but then on my AEM:

Remove EGR vaccuum line:

Take the EGR off and install the stainless cover plate:

Then you can remove this long bugger that goes all the way from the EGR to the airpump, this was the difficult part as it's connected in several places and is a bit tight:

Then this horrible thing comes out:

It will be replaced by these 2 new rubber lines:

And this one is removed from under the fuel rail cover:

Remove the rest of the vaccuum lines:

The air control valve that's bolted to the inlet tube stays without any vaccuum lines connected, need to work out if that one can be removed too.

Great stuff! I think that's all I need to see to be honest

Can I remove the EGR and all the other tubing without bothering with the air pump for now? I can't be arsed to remove the bumper for the time being with all the work I've done on the car recently!

You can unplug the pump and put the resistor in through the wheel arch, so don't have to remove the bumper if you want to leave the pump there.
