Good morning. I am looking to buy a used or new passenger rear shock absorber. I believe it needs to be 2006 or later for a 2009 model

Be careful the rear springs are different between 06/07 MY cars and the 08/09 MY cars. Your springs are colour coded.

For 08/09 MY cars the rear springs should have the colours Blue Orange Green, spring rating 294 lb/in. (06/07 rear springs Blue Orange Lt Blue, and are also the softest rear spring rating for the S2000 at 269 lb/in)

If you are in any doubt, check your VIN for the year of manufacture of your car, that will date them aswell

Thanks very much for the advice. My intention was to swap my springs on to a second hand shock if I couldn't get a set from a 2008/9 model

I have a full set of good suspension that I took off my MY07 if that helps.
