The scheme really took off in 2008 - better than we expected - so thanks to those of you who insured on it.

We look forward to being of service in 2009 as well.

Kind regards
Tim

Matts - i've removed your post. I don't want to get into price comparing wars on this thread. All companies differ on pricing depending on the individual. It's peoples perogative to shop around for prices.

Cheers.

Whatever.

All I was doing was providing a balanced point of view to Ciderboy's saving. They're not the only Broker to offer deals to members and their price wasn't the best that I found.

I don't want to upset your friends though.

I think you are missing the point here.

This is a traders' forum.

The traders have to pay for the privilege to post and as such they should not have to put up with comments by people slating them or telling where they can go to get a cheaper price.

After all, you wouldn't like it if you had paid a lot of money to advertise on here, only for somebody to jump all over your thread and bad mouth your products and prices.

It is fantastic that we can now offer UK traders the opportunity to sell their products on this forum. Ian has put an awful lot of work into getting this set up, a lot more than you would believe. Slating the services of traders is going to do nothing to encourage any prospective traders to participate and ultimately it will be the UK forum users who lose out.

LTB is bang on, the traders forum is a very new things and the two new guys are getting a hard time already, it's important that we all encourage traders to come on as we can get some very nice deals. Take a look over on the DC5 forum and you'll see some excellent deals on consumables that we've never been able to get because of the ban on commercial posting.

I'll be calling Chris Knott for a quote shortly along with a few other guys and I'm hoping that one of them will offer me a sensible quote now that I'm claim and points free and I live in the middle of farking nowhere!

Agreed LTB. We have a responsibility to keep these threads clean, people are paying to have them on here and are helping the club.

Lets end it here.

Matts - I don't want another reply on here. Drop me a PM if you want to discuss further.

We've had a good start to 2009 already, even better than last year which was an exceptional year for us.

If you're renewal is due in February, please don't forget to ring us and quote the club scheme reference number shown in my signature below!

Kind regards
Tim

Mine is up around May I think, wonder if the prices will remain competitive to retain current clients? I hate the seasonal trading off of AF and others, it would help if the renewal was just as good to start with!
