Default FS: Tires and shift knobs

Doing some spring cleaning and finally posting these for sale. Thanks for looking!

SOLD!
Kenda Kaiser tires in stock AP2 sizing (215/45-17 F, 245/40-17 R)
Price: $100 for the set of 4, PICKED UP ONLY
Location: Niles, IL

They were supposedly brand new when I purchased the car from a dealership in September 2011. Put about 2500 miles on them before switching to winter tires. Decided to purchase a second set of wheels with tires already mounted, so these are just taking up garage space.

I know these are no-name tires with less than stellar reviews, but think the pricing reflects this. It seemed a waste to toss them with so little mileage and I figured they could go to a local that might be rolling on bald tires, but can't justify spending more on the typical performance tires right now. I can get pictures and tread depths this weekend if you're interested.

Moddiction Anvil and Anvil 2 stainless steel brushed finish shift knobs
Price: $50 each, picked up
Location: Chicago, IL

The Anvil was in my car for about a week and the Anvil 2 for about 5 minutes. Both are in new condition. I like the lower positioning they provide, but am not a fan of the weight (though many are).

Are you going to the tech day? I've been stuck between which shift knob to buy.

Would love to be there, but unfortunately am not available that weekend. The meets haven't worked with my schedule either so far. If there's one I can get to next week, I'll be happy to bring the knobs along so you can check them out.

Nope, not free that evening either. My schedule has been pretty packed lately.

If it helps, I prefer the spherical knobs. At first I wasn't keen on the look, but they feel so much nicer in the hand. Ended up going with a Civic Type-R knob, which is basically a CR knob with red lettering instead of yellow. It sits higher than the Anvil, is lighter, and a little smaller in diameter, but is more comfortable to me. Then again, I wouldn't have come to that conclusion if I hadn't checked these two knobs out first.

I'm in no rush to sell and should be able to make it to a meet in the next few weeks, so I'll at least try to hang onto these until you get a chance to check them out.

Cool man. I initially wanted to go with the Type R knob as well. But then I read its too light, and I've heard nothing but great things about the Anvil. The 2nd thing was I didn't know if I wanted spherical or not, but if I can try yours out if you still have it in a few weeks that'd be great. I appreciate it

Hmm, I'd like to check out that anvil II as well.

Why did you go with the lighter knob? A better feel? I hear the CR knob was lightened for this reason.

I definitely prefer the feel of a lighter knob. You get more feedback when clicking into each gear compared to a heavier knob which masks that feeling, but feels smooth doing so.

Looks like there's a few of you interested in seeing these in person and that's honestly the best way to decide which style knob you prefer. I'll plan on bringing them to the next meet I attend so you all can check them out. If more than one of you wants to purchase the same knob, earlier replies to this thread get dibs.
