Default ~~Illinois Window Tint Law~~

http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus...80&SessionID=76

If anybody hasn't been following, the Illinois Senate has been try to amend the state law and allow for the tinting of front windows in all vehicles... By my interpretations, I think it has been approved...

courtesy of KITFOX from notfwd.com

"Summary:
Any darker than 30% on rear gets no legal front tint

Between 30% and 35% tint on rear gets up to 50% tint on front

Up to 35% tint on rear gets up to 35% tint on front

Suvs with factory tinted windows will be able to get up to 50% on front only regardless of tint % on factory privacy glass."

From what I heard, because the Governor didn't veto it, it was able to pass officially into law after successfully going through both the house and the senate.

Needless to say, I'm planning on going the safe-but-consistent route of 35% all around (since I actually have rear windows).

I have like 5% rear window. 20% sides and 50% windshield.

I am illegal anyways so I don't really care.
