I could get plastic/rubber lined steel cables, but I'm not going to put that much work into it. If the top is off, I'll just lock glove box and I'll probably get seat locks too. And whoever I room with at the dragon - I'm going to need help taking on and off the hardtop.

I wish they made a proper tonneau cover like they did for the Miata...

That would be awesome. Where are the seats?

Underneath the tonneau, you slide the seats forward a couple clicks and then lean them back under the cover.

I loved mine, you could drive with the pass side covered on cold days and then cover the whole thing when parked, you could use it as just a boot cover as well.

Apparently Harry and Urmil were working on something 7 years ago:

If either of you read this, is the prototype still around?

^ Man that died off quick.

I'm curious what they had worked up for this, I'd still be interested. I don't know of any local upholsterers near me that could pull this off, but I'll check around with some boat people and see.

It's a cool idea. Although, I think it would look stupid if it drapped over the S2000 roll hoops. I think it would loose some functionality if it went around the roll hoops. How does it secure (maybe by plastic tabs similar to the rear edge of our OEM boots)???

Happy anniversary Pat!

The problem they ran into was that the dash height was too low, so water would puddle up right by the glass, and then run down into the dash.

I would like to think that there would be a way around that, but both Harry and Urmil are pretty resourceful people.

But isn't the purpose of this more for temporary use only? Why would water be an issue? If it looked like it was going to rain, wouldn't you just put the top up? I guess in Pat's case it'd make sense though.

Considering how many people use the tonneau covers that cover the soft top, I dunno how many people who find this useful?

If anything I think a large mass of people would want something along the lines of a windscreen protector that actually works very good.
