64 and counting......

I would like to present the newest member of my family:
Brought home today (took the long way home, of course) with the top down all the way (it was all of maybe 40 degrees, but sunny)! Now she's sitting all snug and warm in my parent's garage (they're out of the country, and their garage is heated and has a drain - both are features that my garage lacks). Tomorrow I start washing, applying Zaino, and learning to care for my new baby....
Come warmer weather, keep an eye out for me, folks. I'll be the one with the permanent grin on my face! (Oops, that pretty much describes all of us... oh, well.....)
See you around the neighborhood!
(FYI: 64 is the current mileage on the car)

Congrats!! Carefull waxing it. Mine had residue on the tops of the front fenders that I can feel but have yet to remove. I will clay bar it when it gets warm again. BTW I was up there this past weekend. You didn't have to bring it home in the snow did you. Have fun with it. I only have 180 miles on mine since I picked mine up in December. Can't wait for warmer weather.

No snow on the way home. I got lucky with a sunny day - the roads were mostly dry, just dusty from salt. Nothing a quick hose down won't fix.
I've got the Dawn and Clay Bar waiting. I did notice that the paint didn't have the smooth glossy feeling I'd expect from new paint. It's supposed to be very warm today (55+) so it'll be warm enough this evening to start.
I don't expect to put many miles on her until the weather turns, but after that - watch out!

They dont do much to the paint from the factory. Be sure to polish it AND put a good coat of wax on it. Polish polishes and wax protects the polished surface. Polish washes off very quickly. 100% carnauba is the best way to go. It will look better than new.
