You'll have to take the bumper cover off. Depending on where the "dent" is, it may not come out. Corners are much harder then edges, and flat areas on the bumper.

Take the cover off the car, evenly heat the inside of the dent and the area about 3" around the dent. Try not to let the outside (painted surface) get too hot. The paint can begin to pull away from the primer and you'll see it as bubble. Anycase, evenly heat the dent. Once it's slightly uncomfortable to the touch from the backside, use a screwdriver handle to push the dent out starting at the edges of the dent. Use a 5-point star pattern. Push at one edge, then push at an edge across from where you where, and then at a third point across from the second edge and so on. As you get to the forth and fifth edge, the center should start to pop out on its own.

If the dent is still visible after the 5th point, reheat the area, and slowly push out the center of the dent. Just as it dented inward, it can and will dent outward if you put too much pressure on the center.

It sounds like a lot, but once the bumper cover is off, it's a quick 10-15 minute job. Depending on how hard the area got hit, you may need to go to a body shop for slight repaint.
