Are there any out there!? I am in dire need of some help and though that the good people of s2ki.com could be of some assistance. Right now I live in Connecticut but within a month I will be living in Canton, MI. I am very excited and all but there is only one problem, I don't have a job yet . I am employed as a software engineer, with a b.s. in comp. sci. I am looking for a position as software/web developer. I have my resume and list of referrals. So I was wondering if any Michigan people had any ideas of where to start looking and such. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

 

As I'm sure you know. the market place is flooded with Tech's looking for work. My first thought would be to look into the stable companies like utilities, etc. that haven't been affected as bad as some others by the economy. Best wishes in the search.

 

I don't know how old are you. But, there is a Carrer fair in University of Michigan this week or next week. You might want to stop by and check it out.

Don't know much about your area of expertise, but I worked with a group out of Lansing that does a lot of large scale website design (along with other civil engineering stuff) called Capital Consultants. They other branch offices so they might have something in the Canton area. It might be worth a look if you are still looking.
