Then the big question - how much vibration do you get? I get lots with my mount. I'm wondering if the camera would be better off with the stability feature turned off. I almost think it was fighting a losing battle and doing more harm than good.

There must be a way to dampen the vibration. Maybe I need some long arms with weights on the ends like they use for target archery.

I have the ztec mount which also comes with some rubber liners to reduce vibration on the top piece. As you can see from my hwy100 video, the video is amazingly smooth, and no vibration at all, and hardly anything even noticeable during heavy acceleration and shifting.

the only drawback in my opinion is that one must drill holes and it will look bad when you remove the camera mount

^^^^^^^

I would imagine it wouldn't take more than 5 minutes to put the stock windscreen back in?

Unless you lack the tools and skill, I still think less than 10 dollars of materials and about an hour of work beats any 50 dollars or more mount out there.

Pushin9, great job. You got me inspired to make my own mount. :D

It uses the same holes as the wind screen. Hell I even use the same screws. The only tools need to change between the camera mount and the windscreen is a simple screw driver. It takes all of 5 seconds to switch back an forth between the two. No extra holes were drilled
Your right.

Nice!

I don't get much vibration in my car either. Tony, check the fitment of your secret compartment. Mabey try to adjust that to reduce the vibration.

This would have been a much nicer solution than mine. Of course, I already have one now so I won't go do this, but it came out great! Good job.
