Greg, if you want to post an official DIY how-to thread with pics, post it in the TECH forum located in Under The Hood. I'll make it part of our FAQs/DIYs and give you credit.

I figured the vibration was just my setup, but after seeing the video from the FWT last year, it seemed to be common across the board to some degree or another.

So, do those of you with smooth video operate with the stabilization turned on or off? And if on, do you have optical or digital stabilization?

I also keep my "steady shot" option turned on...I get good picture quality

Yeah I would be happy to make a DIY post in the technical forum......I will take better pictures for the step by step process and descriptions....I will do this when I get my new ball joint head (since I will have it all taken apart then) Should be in about 1-2 weeks.
how long did it approximately take you? I would be interested in a minature g/b if you were willing to manufacture + sell.

i wouldnt mind having a camera mount in my car, but i dont have the rear windscreen in mine ... so i really dont want to drill holes just to put one in. I dont feel like spending $200 for a windscreen either.
