Thumbs down Capri Drive-In meet

Original post edited as follows:

I've been wanting to check out the Capri Drive-In for a while now, but have never been before. Their website is at: http://www.capridrive-in.com/index.php

Can anyone make it out there for a meet this Saturday? I'm sorry for the short notice, but I've been watching the weather and the shows to try to get a good combination of both. Saturday looks like it will be acceptable in both respects. I'd be down with either screen 1 (Terminator & Star Trek) or screen 2 (Night at Museum and X-Men) -- I'd actually prefer screen 1 only because I've already seen x-men, but will go again if out voted.

It's closer to the southwest side of the state, so maybe there are some chicago and indiana (or maybe even northern Ohio) s2k owners that would also be willing to attend.

If there is interest, We'll have to try to meet up in advance so that we can all park together.

I'd prefer F&F4 over the Witch Mountain one, but I think it's a pretty cool idea.

The trick to it is picking a day when the weather will cooperate

It looks like their movies change weekly on their site. I e-mailed Sue (who's listed on their contact page) to see if I could get a list of upcoming movie showtimes. I'm thinking some Saturday after Memorial Day weekend. Perhaps May 30th or June 6th, depending upon what's showing. Should have a good chance of good weather around that time. I'll post back here when I know more.

Susan, from the Capri Drive-In was, shall we say, less than helpful. On the 19th, she replied to my e-mail only stating that FF4 opens on the 3rd and "no date for witch". She could not say what dates they were actually showing any movies in the future. More remarkable is the fact that Race to Witch Mountain is showing there this weekend (a mere 8 days after she said she didn't know when it would be showing). So, It appears that I can't get any kind of advance schedule from them other than the limited week-before information that appears on their website.

As a result, and because of the combined facts of weather and unknown movie showings, there will not be more than a few days notice before a Drive-in meet. I'll still shoot for sometime after memorial day, but we'll just have to wait and see...

I'm most def in!

I think the most important thing is just picking a good time/date for everyone. From there, we can decide on a movie. It's all about the experience for me, so I can't wait.
This is the best idea aside from my Toledo Waffle House one

Can anyone make it out there this Saturday night? (I edited my original post to reflect this).
