Sounds like fun, count us in. We'll probably take the Skyway route, though.

One thing to note, there is a ton of construction on 80/294/94 so be mindful of that.

I was going to ask, are we avoiding the skyway due to the tolls? It seems like it would certainly be the much faster route.

 

I was avoiding the skyway because it sux-ass.

Also, there isn't an oasis to meet up at on the skyway.

I was not aware of the heavy construction on 80/94. I thought that was generally localized to I65 in Indiana.

I am willing to alter the route, if people have a suggestion on where to meet the WI peeps for the caravan.

 

I'm not sure how ideal it would be, but the Dominicks on Roosevelt and Canal is just a few blocks off 90/94, immediately south of the circle, so nearly all chi-town people would likely be going around there anyway, and the large parking lot has plenty of space to meet. The parking lot is the "A" and "B" in this:

I imagine the WI folks would be passing right past here, too, so it would work well for them. The other advantage is that we could still chose between the Skyway or the alternate route. Also, last-minute food / beverage / convenience items can be picked up right there.

 

I'm up for the caravan . . . but I'm liable to get lost really easy on my way there.

And I'm liable to be late because I don't know if I can get up at 5:00 AM on Saturday morning and leave the house right away after getting home from work at 2:00 AM saturday morning. I may wind up going on my own.

I'll be in the caravan... provided its going to be a nice easy run. No way do I want to get my ass pulled over in IL or IN-- they'd probably shoot me on the spot for my WI plates.

It will NOT be a warp-speed run. Though, shooting Charlie is not out of the question.

If no one objects, we'll take Garrison's alternate meeting location of the Dominicks parking lot.
