Default Chicagos2k.com or Chicagos2000.com

I am creating a new forum for all members in Illinois, so we can do basically what we do here on s2ki.com, but now once I create the website I want to create connections with different companies to gain sponsorship. I was with my friend as he created chicagoz.com and now his website has flourished and now has about 6-8 sponsors. The sponsors range from Speedquest Performance for dyno hookups and installation hookups, Carmedics mainy autobody repair and install, GRD another tuner and more. I really want to build up the S2000 community in Illinois and I would like to know if people would be interested and actually join the website. There will not be a fee at all to join and it will allow us to have an organized forums where we can create meets, sell items and talk about S2Ks and other cars. I really love s2ki.com, but the only problem once it gets into specific regions like UMW we start loosing perks. I want organization meaning a website that will have a Meets Section, Tracking Information, Forum Topics, For Sale and more. I think this will be a cool idea and the more sponsors we have the more we can mod and enjoy our cars. I have about 2-3 places already lined up that will sponsor, but I don't want to start a site and just have me and only me in the forum. So, if everyone can spread the word, I will keep you guys updated thanks and keep on modding.

BTW, this is not to stop using s2ki.com in anyway I actually want to have a specific forum and then still have s2ki.com incorporated in the website. If I have in anyway violated something about the s2ki.com website then please PM and I will fix it.

We've already been down this road with S2KCA and regional chapters. By creating a Chicago-area forum, you leave out the WI, IN, and MI folks. (I didn't count the MN people on purpose ).

The UMW forum allows for regional sponsorship and such...we aren't restricted to what S2Ki does nationally by any means.

As for creating a regional specific forum to talk about everything S2000 and non-S2000 related (I know, redundant detail)....there are already regional sites like that (Chicagovelocity.com, IRNN.net, 6speedonline.com, and a handful more).

I'd really hate to see another S2000-specific site detract from the use of the regional forum here....God knows I've tried to do it in the past.

Go ahead and give it the ol' college try, let's see what goes down.

And the Iowa peop.. er Person.

Honestly, I have little interest in following yet ANOTHER board. I am a fairly active member on WAY too many already.

I think it's a good idea

...and if IN and WI people feel left out... well... it not like anyone is stopping you from using the address bar at the top of your screen or moving to chicago

Seems like a good idea to me... ChicagoZ has done pretty well. But then again what do I know?

I just don't get it...if you want a local forum to communilize with, why not go to one of the local forums?

If you want a local S2000-based forum to communilize with, why not just use this regional forum? If you want to get in the game with sponsorship and such, the UMW forum supports that. If you want to talk about off-topic things, we have the Windy City sub forum.

If you want to plan meets, we do so here. In fact, this year it's been a bit slower than previous, but we have been known to be meeting fools.

Again I don't agree, but go ahead and try it.
