I feel much more comfortable driving the CR than the Ap2... at the Dragon this past Spring, I was much more comfortable with the balance of the CR compared to the Ap2 and the Ap1... yes.. I've driven all three at the Dragon...
My only reason for preferring the AP2 handling over the CR is that if I'm going into a corner and I'm considering powersliding at some point, I have to genuinely WANT to do it with the AP2. With the CR, it seems if I'm thinking about it, I'll end up doing it. That said, it's still quite controllable mid-slide and recovery is no problem, but this behavior *MAY* not be for everyone. Again, feel free to disagree.
As far as PERFORMANCE handling, I would agree with Pat and say that the CR is better setup out-of-the-box than the AP2.
Ultimately I really wanted LBP and a soft top.
Mike,
For a track or race car etc 04-05 is great because of the cable drive and little more simple to mod in some ways. For a street/daily car etc, 06+ is the way to go. The flashable ECU makes it easy to tune and keep OBD2 and emissions legal etc.

This will be a street/track car. I could afford a CR, but it would be tight. I might get a red 05 if its still available Monday. Only 12k miles for 19k. Trading in the AP1.
You may want to see if jeggy would sell you his CR, if I read it correctly, he is/may be getting rid of his Berlina CR.
Since he's had sex in it, you may get it for cheap. Then when you get it, swap the whole interior out with Quivers.
