DELETE ME!
This is just too funny to let slide.
bump.
I hate the one window up and one down thing. Wish I would have thought of the lock and that comment earlier when my sister was in the car.

^ right on kamron
i still remember my first days with the S when i had to fill it up for the first time. after 20 mins at the gas station i brought it home and my dad and I tried to figure out where the gas-cap release was. 30 mins later and looking in the manual we finally figured it out
as for the window thing... def looks weird outside the car, though inside the car u feel like ur still lookin slick (tho you're not). but my g/f and i would rather go top-down with windows up than top up windows down

First, BUMP!
Second, to make the OP feel better, I my car in shortly after I bought it for a warrantied service on the top (can't remember what now) , and when I picked it up, THE TOP WOULDN'T GO DOWN. So I figured the tech forgot to plug something back in (he did also leave a wrench under the seat).
I was polite but firm when I went back in and suggested they may have erred, and it turned out to be the parking brake wasn't set. Since I always do this out of habit, similar situation. But since I didn't park the car this time it wasn't set.
We've all done something like this. Can't figure out how to check the oil. Secret compartment. Nearly hitting your head on the windshield trying to v-tec the car cold, etc.

Vtecing cold . . . how embarassing. Did that a few days after I bought the car and took it back to the dealership thinking there was something seriously wrong with it.
