Short story, guy turned in front of me, swerved to avoid head on collision, ended up doing a barrel roll clockwise while moving at 50mph foward, airbags smell bad. Just a cut on my left elbow is all, glad i wasnt in the convertible.

The firefighters and emt's couldn believe i just got out and was walking around taking pictures when they got there lol. btw the driver who turned infront of me fled. how a human being can watch a car do what mine did and drive off is beside me, but i had two witnesses grad the car make and model etc..

A VW saved my ass many years ago when I rolled mine. I walked away as well.

 

Wow, that looks like it would have been comfortable rolling over with that many air bags.

 

It's the single most-scary concern about driving the S. The built-in rollover bar would be of no protection in an accident like yours, and it would likely be lights-out Irene. I think we all trust that the lower center of gravity and outstanding reaction time will save our butts. I'm in no hurry to find out. Glad you're okay .
