I'm Back
Hello fellow UMW members. After a 6 year absence from S2000's, I'm finally back.
Some OG members might remember me. I lurked around the forums for 3 years before joining S2Ki, and picked up my first S2000 in '05 while living in the Chicago burbs. Since I had been bitten by the track bug the prior year, I knew what my intent was with my first S. I built up a mild time attack/track day car while working at Suja 1 Motoring, and dabbled in some competitive events. Due to an eye opening amount of money spent on my first season, I ended up selling my '01 before my second season.
With the obvious need to change my career path to one that allowed more freedom and disposable income to support my track day habit, I weighed many options. I finally went back to school, got a business degree, and started my new job two days after graduation this past spring. I now live in Michigan, and work for Xerox. I picked up my '07 back in May from a Honda dealership in Kansas City. The owner of the dealership painted his BBQ smoker he uses in BBQ competitions Laguna Blue because he loved the color so much. Moving on...
This season has been busy between work and my new car. I instructed WMHM13 at Gingerman, ITR Expo at MidOhio (sorta), and a couple track days at Gingerman mixed in. It was interesting tracking the S2000 stock (save for brake pads and fluid change, and later new tires) again. But I have already put in motion plans to make my second S a lot faster than the last.
While in storage over the winter, I'll be adding Eibach R2 coilovers, non-staggered wheels with 255 r-compound tires, a Voltex wing, bucket seat, and some other supporting mods to prep the car for 2014. I'll be sure to post updates here when I remember.
Anyone looking to getting into tracking their S, let me know. I'll be happy to offer insight and assistance based on a decent amount of experience (12+ years with Honda's, 9 on track, 4 instructing).
Now that I'm done being a bore, I'll say it's good to be back.
Make it a great day!
-Andrew
PS, someone buy my Civic, I need a new DD!

Urmil, I have plans of making it a very fast full interior track car. Eventually some sort of FI, probably a SOS supercharger. I have a link in my sig that has a rough outline.
How's your S2000 treating you?
