It's my 1 yearanniversary
Highlights. I tend to run on with my stories, so I'll make a list instead:
1. owning it.
2. driving it daily.
3. My weekend run to a Texas Waffle House
4. My top speed achieved in any car... details not necessary
5. meeting, as I count, 5 other UMW members so far
6. owning this car has opened up my knowledge of cars is a great way. Not only increased mechanical understanding, but also respect for physics and how the vehicle responds to it.
7. the looks I get from people while driving top down when it's -10 and snowing in January.
I've never owned a car this long and still liked it. I've looked at other cars, even considered selling due to all of my car's leaking issues, but I'm quickly learning that nothing will give me the shear driving pleasure that my S2000 offers and delivers on a daily basis.
If I don't have to, I don't think I will ever sell it. However, I do already understand that this is a machine, and they break. I've driven 20,000 miles so far, without 1 mechanical failure or hiccup. I'm impressed.

nicholastjs - Winter tires. Yes. I would've died with summer tires. I have Blizzaks for the rear and Firestone Winter Force or something like that in front. No loss of control ever even in deep packed slippery snow. Any snow tires will work just fine, as long as you drive smart. Don't treat a sports car like a sports car in non-sports car weather conditions(including temperature)
s2000442 - I'm getting water dripping into the car, either trunk or floor depending on the angle of the car where the top meets the car just in front of the trunk. The last time I tried to have the top fixed, the shop must have not put the rain gutter back correctly, but it was too long from the time I got the car back until I found what the problem was. I'll probably get to it some day, but I've already had the for off my car 4 times and it's quite a bit of work for 1 man without proper garage space.
