You program the remote through the internet, entering the model numbers of all your home theater components. Then the remote becomes activity based. So you select "Watch TV" and the remote will turn on your TV, Reciever, and Cable Box, then selects all the right inputs on both the TV and the reciever. Then if you want to switch to "Watch DVD" it will turn the cable box off, turn the DVD player on and switch all the correct inputs again. The remote remembers what state your equipment is in so it doesn't need discreet codes for you devices.
The unit is lightly used, there are some minor scratches on the bottom, but the rest is flawless. I am getting rid of it, only because I was suckered into upgrading to a newer remote. There is absolutly nothing wrong with this remote.
