I think we should have more saturday meets to be fair to everyone that have to get up early on friday mornings. I also ruled out fridays since many also work on saturdays. If we do saturday evenings we still have sunday to recover.

 

Thursday night meets have always provided a break in the work week for many. Weekend meets are just as limiting for others as Thursday night meets maybe for some. Many of the S2000 owners have other family and friends that they tend to gather with on the weekend.

Thursdays nights were chosen because of all the other car groups that get together on that night. In the past we interacted with the other car groups, and if nothing else, it kept the meets interesting at an automotive level.

Saturday/Sunday meets have proven to be successful during lunchtime. It allowed many more to make it out, and then break-away for those that had evening plans with family and friends.

If you want to have Saturday meets, then please have at it. However, let the Thursday nights be.

I think we should have both Thursday and Saturday night meets. So then some people can have a choice whether they can come out on either day.



But for us being car lovers, I dont think it is necessary or mandatory to have it specially on Thursday nights. But since its been held on Thursday nights we shall keep it this way.

Sometimes I really feel it on Friday mornings I always tell myself that I'll leave earlier, but I always end up staying late. I'd still go to Thursday meets, and Saturdays would be cool too

 

It would be nice to have the occasional saturday meets for the out of towners.

Maybe cause i'm a wuss, but I've had trouble attending the thursday meets because I work in the middle of the Loop. I'd have to fight rush hour traffic to get out to the burbs.

I think brad has a good idea, alternate between thursday meets and saturday meets. I know that with classes starting up again thursdays just aren't going to work anymore for me.

 

I second what Dave has stated, I too feel it friday morning that At one instance i had to call-in sick. I know things should be done in moderation, less less earlier cut-off time etc. But since i consider the meets my night out i tend to go all out and really enjoy myself. It would be really nice to sleep all day and not have to worry about work the next day.

How about keeping Thursdays the official meet and have Saturdays the
un-official meet.

Anyway, whatever is decided i support it 100%.
