A lot of you looking into getting into track/autox ask me about helmets. I usually have 2 recommendations for places to try on helmets. The first is Northstar motorsports in barrington. The second is to come to a nasa event. US Race Gear usually has vendor stand there with a wide selection.

There is a NASA event at Autobahn in Joliet this weekend (9/6 and 9/7). A good opportunity to check out their selection, try some on, and talk to a knowledgeable vendor. Can also come and watch the races (or participate although I believe hpde is sold out now). They'll charge you to spectate but if you say you are support crew then it's free to enter.
