Thank you. What then, is your suggestion?
I didn't know that. How many businesses have you successfully run?

Addressing your second question first:
5. One that paid me my dues through high school. Two businesses that paid my tuition through a private college (6 years of it, netting me one Master's degree and two bachelors of science degrees). One that helped pay for the downpayment and first year's expenses on my house (and some mods on the car). One that paid for my MBA in full.
I've started the businesses either solely, or was a contributing partner. The ones I started solely, I sold off interest and clientale lists because I was moving onto new parts of my life. The ones I ventured in with partners, I sold my stake in due to speculation on future value of the business or to take the capital to put it to new opportunities for myself...namely education.
I also run my family's daily finances, annual budgeting, and financial goal setting as a business owner would/should. At the age of 29, I think I've done fair in organizing and planning our finances and investments.
Now answering your first question:
My suggestion on hosting/running/managing events depends on the event, and the demographic make-up of the participants. It is then suggested to the planning committee of the event either if they are interested in hearing my opinions or I am on the planning committee.

At this rate we are gonna have to change the itinerary to a day of hand holding and disney movies.
Its pathetic, isn't it. And we are supposed to be adults...
Does it help if I told you I just picked up two teens in my Festiva?
They said they never saw a car that small before.
I proceeded to ask them if they had ever seen an adult male's genitalia that was smaller than a toddler.
They were equally impressed.
