EXTREMELY Short notice, but I just found out. Registration ends at 6pm TODAY!

Looks like I'll be staying the night Friday in CHicago/Joliet. Anyone recommend cheap "affordable" hotels in a good part of town?

I don't know of any good hotel options that way, but I do have a friend who is going to this. Have fun man!

Let me know how this goes. I've always wondered how good these things are. I don't think there's any actual seat time, but good instruction is invaluable.

Hotel in Joliet? Casino

I went to this last year with a buddy of mine. It's interesting in that they go over all the different classes that they offer and basic driver instruction stuff. At the end of the day they let you drive around the Autobahn normally, but it snowed randomly during the day, so we didn't get to drive on it. I was looking forward to that the most, but a lot of good info too.

I am going. Track touring was an additional $20....money well spent because I am entered in the April NASA Time Trial and have never been there before

I was there (loud-ass white 240sx hatch). The in-class got long-winded at times, but you learned a lot. You could tell close to the end that everyone was excited to get on-track.

We spent about an hour on-track, about 5-7 cars per pace car. No passing. My pace-car was quite over zealous. I hit 90.

All in all, it was a great way to shake off some of that winter rust, and get excited for the real track days this season. I had a lot of fun.

I'm most likely joining up with NSSCC. The $20 toward track touring is also taken off of the $55 membership.

It was kind of funny that I was there to get a feel for what their High Speed Autox(HSAX) was all about. Track time for these events would actually be about the same amount of time we got in the track touring on Saturday

Our pace car driver wasn't quite as fast, but that didn't stop me from hammering around the corners!

Their HSAX program looks cool but I think they require S2000's to have roll bars. It's cool that you guys got track time though. It was beautiful on Saturday.
