Default Problem with my car question on window/top

The car is under warranty, the search function on this site is so aweful, I would rather eat my own fecal matter than try to find what I am looking for.

This may be a common issue, so please let me know.

I went to put the fuc*king top up today, and the drivers side window would only go down like 2 inches and the stop.

Window works very nicely, no problems.

Just when I try to raise and lower the top the drivers side window barely goes down.

Whats the diagnosis, besides, that I am gay for owning an s2000 and also attempting at driving with the top down at all.

Window regulator issue. It's well documented in the UTH forums....but like you said, the search feature may not be all that it is cracked up to be.

The dealership will just replace the regulator. I've had this procedure done 5 time already. 3 times on the passenger window and twice on the driver side.

Possible temp fix.......

Turn the car on
Push the window button down until the window is all the way down
Continue to hold the button down for an extra 10 seconds
Then pull up on the button and have the window come all the way up
Continue to hold the button up for an extra 10 seconds then let go
Turn car off and then turn back on

This resets the regulator. Sometimes works. I was out of warranty and this has worked on mine.

Just my $.02
