Default Public/Private Storage

Hello All,

I have noticed in the Winter Storage thread some great questions about lending your space out to others. Also information on where is a good place to store your car/parts.

I have been asked by a few members to store items in my house. I have had no issues with that at all.

This thread is created to cater to people that would not mind certain things in their homes or general storage inquiry. The Winter Storage thread is very informational on the do’s and dont's that a few of us have learned over the years.

Please post up your questions, comments and needs here.

Thanks and have fun.

I'd be curious to know who may have heated / cooled garage space in the Chicagoland area (preferably further out in the 'burbs, actually, close to open roads) for my motorcycle ('92 EX-500).

Also, would anyone in the Chicagoland area have room to store an OEM exhaust? I don't need storage immediately, but I'd like to know what my options are should the need arise.

[QUOTE=Kamron,Oct 18 2010, 11:35 AM]I got an e-mail regarding a winter storage option here in the detroit area, just in case anyone is interested (I don't need winter storage, so I don't know if this is a good deal or not):

I could rent out half of my garage in the city as well for storage.

Anyone have space for me to keep some wheels and tires? I have to take delivery of the r-comps I won this year and they don't like the cold. I'm thinking heated garage or climate controlled basement - neither of which I have. Not sure how cold my garage gets.

I have already been asked to store some bumpers. I have a bit more space.. Its going in the attic. Im not sure if its warm there or not.

But "light" things can be stored there. Not for wheels or engine parts though. What ever can fit in a 2 X 2 Foot opening .. Pm me and ill see if it fits..
