S2000 gone and replaced
Well it was time to move on to something a little bigger for the sake of school. I love the S and will own another one in the future (upon graduating college). But for the time being, it was time for something a little more livable.
I traded my 01 SS s2k in for a velocity red rx-8.
the 8, in my opinion is an amazing car, still sporty and agile, but much more livable then the s. the interior room is tripled, and the ride is much more comfortable especially on choppy roads (even with the stock 18"s) and the trunk space is doubled. its not as quick as the s, but still revs to 9, and looks and sounds damn good
i will miss the 29 mpg i got out of the s, but i averaged 24.5 mpg on the 360 mile trip down to school, and that is definitely manageable.
The S had a much higher fun factor, and that will be missed
I still want to stick around here, because i love s2ki, and rx8club is kinda... blah, not as big and friendly as i had hoped the forums to be.
anyways heres a few pictures of the new car!

But how much oil did you use?
J/k. I really like the 8. My buddy has one and from driving each other's cars we've determined the 8 is the s2000 for people who need a roof and back seats. For what you gain in practicality you really don't loose that much in performance (depending on what you're doing with the car). Congrats!

I rode in my cousins (Almost exactly the same, except I think she had the aero package) and was blown away by the performance of it. If I was going rotary, I'd prefer an FD RX-7, but I do like 8's as well.

Sorry to see your S go, but congrats on the new ride. You gotta do what is best for you right now. I agree with Gfunk, for anyone that does not want to lose all the factors that made the S fun, the 8 would be the way to go. The only thing I would be a little weary of is the reliability factor. Anyways, good luck and hope to see you in another S later.

Pretty good crew.
Remember to check the oil every time you get gas. I really mean that. No joking. This time.
I like the rx8, thought about one as my DD for a while. Till I realized they were slow AND expensive. (take either one away and I would have bought one)
Anyone that compares the fd9 to the rx-8 needs to be smacked upon the cheek.
