thanks guys!

and yeah the FD3S is my all time favorite car, but it has no backseats, is much older, and gas milage sufferes even more (turbo) but one day when i can afford to have one, i will.

I got this r8 for 15g, so i thought it was a good deal. and yes i have checked the oil at each fill up and have not needed to add any yet, but im sure i will with in the next week or two.

and i have seen that top gear episode many times, thats actually how i sold a few of my friends and my family on the decision to go with the rx8.

and surprisingly no, the drive wasn't down hill at all... it was clear across Illinois, down IL-57 from chicago to Carbondale. i was very excited when i calculated it. haha.

Anyone that compares the fd9 to the rx-8 needs to be smacked upon the cheek.
I wasn't comparing, simply saying I liked 'em both, but would prefer the FD. You can still slap if you'd like, Moonie.

The 8 is a respectable car.. I did a mountain run up Big bear, CA with some friends one with an RX8 and one with a WRX with my AP1 (i/e). Wasn't a contest, I pulled on the 8 and WRX (both were stock). Roomie cars, trick suicide doors, color changing dash lights, and the glossy black interior/dash is pretty cool, and the car is very stable sideways. My buddy got about 17-20 mpg on his but nice car. Congrats...

The car is almost exactly the same in terms of performance as the S2000 with a real alignment and good tires.

The interior is also much better as well being more practical. It's also nice that Mazda goes the extra mile to get owners involved in driving the cars too. Something Honda is non-existent on.

Yes it's not as raw. But as most of us know most people don't know how to drive the S2000 properly anyway to get the most out of it.

A majority of drivers can hop in the RX8 and be faster and safer, which is why the car has so much appeal.

Congrats. I have mucho respect for a well-driven RX-8. It would put most of the S2000 drivers to shame.

Have fun with the new car in Carbondale.
Have a few friends from there, sounds like a good time.

Carbondale (of The Dale, as i like to call it, haha) is alot of fun, lots of stuff to do, and lots of awesome roads to tear up.

if your ever in town visiting your buddies, lets go get drunk! haha

(mind me, ive been drinking since 4)
