Here is an OUTLINE of the basic plan.

I will be editing this post to add details and provide extra information. That should make it easier for people to find all the current details.

We will meetup at Busse Woods around 10:30AM for the people that live in that area. I will choose one to two points along the route to stop and "pick-up" other drivers that do not wish to travel out of the way to go to Schaumburg.

Edit: The "pick-up" will be in Bollingbrook. People from Chicago that do not want to cruise to Schaumburg first, and people that are already south should meet us at the Centry Tile parking lot off of Rt. 53. From Chicago, take I55 S (West?) and exit onto Rt. 53. (There is only one exit, not one north and one south.) At the light turn right (North) onto Rt. 53. Turn right at the VERY first light off of 53, and into the parking lot. According to my sister, the parking lot is HUGE and usually empty. I expect to be there between 11:30-12:00pm.)

We will cruise to Starved Rock. I will have cue sheets available to follow so no one has to worry about getting lost or falling behind (or even racing ahead.)

We will BBQ at Sarved Rock. Perhaps play some Softball or Hike or whatever people want to do.

My car is (suprisingly enough) not big enough to hold everything for us to use to party so this will require some cordination. People are going to need to sign up to bring some items.

I suggest everyone bring a cooler with drinks for themselvs.

I am asking people to volunteer to bring the following items:

Hamburger Patties
Hot Dogs
Hamburger and Hot Dog buns.
Condiments (Catsup, Mustard, etc.)
Paper Plates and napkins (or paper towels.)
Plasticware and cooking utensils (spatula and tongs)
Side items (please sign up for a side item.)
Suggestions for sides: Salad, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Chips
Charcoal and lighter fluid

If everyone brings something I am sure we will have PLENTY to eat.

Any other ideas, suggestions welcome. Let me know.

Please post your interest in attending along with how many people will be attending and what you intend to bring. All cars are welcome, not just S2ks.

Here is the current Count:

Stvtmr is down for Bat and Softball, as well as paper goods.
s2fast725 is down for Charcoal and Fluid
ILL Roller +2 is down for ???
Marty J n' S2k +1 is down for Hot Dogs and Brats
bboersma +1 is down for Potato and Chicken Salad and Condiments

Whoops...going back to school to learn how to read!

Actually, to lighten the load...they have a newly renovated Vistors center there so we can purchase drinks there...they have reasonably priced vending machines and consessions.

Just wondering if anyone from the southern burbs are going to go. If so, I think we should meet up somewhere instead of going up to busse. Any ideas?

For the people that were supposed to meet up at lakeshore drive, I was wondering what time you guys are going to meet. Maybe I can meet up with you guys. Cuz' I don't live that far from LSD. I stay by Montrose & Milwaukee.
