All,
I just got a sweet deal on a rear oem spoiler for an 03 Spa.......
was delivered last week and is in mint condition.
I haven't seen too many s2k's around with a spoiler and was wondering what was all your opinions were about a spoiler, specifically the OEM one....
seems like all the money shots in the picture gallery were without the spoiler.....so it make me think.
Thanks,
Amul

Lee......it looks nice...... and adds more dynamics to the rear end.......don't know what other think about the spoiler......
do you think it was an expensive OEM option so not too many people chose to get one from the dealer?
the 01 spa spoiler matches really nice to my 03 , won't need to paint if I decide to drill the holes and get the baby installed.......might need your help...
Also remember I was looking for a front lip....
would it be better to replace the front bumper....one that looks a little more agressive.....I might as well get a one piece bumper and have that painted, than just buying a lip?

Amul -
There are actually a lot of people with the oem rear spoiler. A lot of 04-05 owners prefer this to the new high wing spoiler. Again, wait until the season really starts and all those cars come out of storage and you will see.
With regards to the front spoiler - I actually really like the oem style. I have the oem on my car right now. The only problem with running a complete new front end - something which is a "lot more aggressive" is that you that have the problem that your car won't be balanced - youll end up needing sideskirts, then a rear end just to balance it out. (The only exception to this rule seems to be the J's front end like Urmils car. He has a half lip and it looks surprisingly really good without sides or upgraded rear end).
I guess at the end of the day it really is all about personal preference. I would look in the gallery or maybe even do some photochops to see what you like and dont like.

I like alot of rear spoilers out there, but I am going to buy a OEM it is more suttle I think. As far as the front I was undecided for a while but I went with the Amuse poly it is a replica ( from Spugen ) but if really makes the front look real aggressive.

Thanks for all your inputs guys......
I think I will put that spoiler on after all, once I get a good look at your cars in person come spring time............till then it's sitting on a shelf in the garage all safe and sound......
Lee's suggestion made me think about a replacement bumper..I guess I will go with a lip as an add on instead of replacing the whole thing.
Now I need to find a lip now.
