Here is the only one I have downloaded, but I can download more. And the reason I went with poly is that it is more forgiving. The fiberglass will crack espeically if your car is lowered like mine. I have 4" ground clearance with this lip, but it looks good going down the road.

Walt,
Lee,

Thanks for putting up the pics.....the amuse looks nice ,and so does the walker lip that I've seen on some cars..........tough decision.

IT"S FREAKING SUNNY , NOT A CLOUD TO BE SEEN, but COLD AS HELL ....... there's still some snow on the ground from last night...

should I chance it? Got the itch to drive this morning.....

As I said before I would buy Poly if you decide on a lip, a lot more flexablitiy and it won't crack. I have had mine on for a little over a year now. I know what you mean about having the itch.

FWIW -

Fiberglass
PROS - lightweight, cheaper
CONS - more susceptible to cracking

Urethane
PROS - will take more abuse
CONS - harder to paint (have to use a special agent in the paint to make it adhere), more expensive

Amul - I took a look at the lin you sent me on that front end spoiler. Personally I would not get the one you mentioned. I like the style of the amuse, but honestly, you have to get the right amuse as they are notorious for bad fitment - and will look like sh*t. (actually Walts is really good). You dont want to find yourself spending a fortune as the body shop having them make it work for you.

I have no other experience of the amuse lip, other than that I have heard only good things about the replicas that spugen make. www.spugen.com

HTH

btw..if you decide to scratch that itch....be careful of those cold S02s!

Team Spugen is who I bought mine from, I was undecided for about 4 or 5 months before I ordered mine. And I found a body shop here local to paint it. They told me that they baked it twice to get all of the foreign oils out of it before they painted it. They also used some sort of foreign paint not Dupont. It only cost me $150 for them to do all the work, and the paint match is incredible exsecialy since I have Suzuka Blue one of the hardest colors to match. Good luck and if I can help let know.

I think I will stick with the poly..as Walt suggested.......

Lee, I went to the teamspugen site and I like both the poly lips that are available

Is "Airwalker" and "Amuse" a model number for Spugen. Are they the original makers of these lips?
I see Airwalker available on ebay, but as you suggested it may be an copy.

I think I may go with the Airwalker since I like the fact that the lip extends out across the whole front end .

seems like they are making a killing on a piece of plastic and it don't cost $45 to ship?

What about all the other cool looking front ends you see in pics.....? Where do they buy their bumpers or lips, looks custom?

BTW: I took the car out today... I was surprised to the amount of salt they spread on the road because of the flurries last night. My excuse......the car is made to be driven......

Airwalker and Amuse are the original companies that made these lips.
spugen and all the other you see on ebay are the replicas.

As with all the other parts you see - most have replicas made of them which you can pick up for a fraction of the cost of the real thing. However, most replicas have poor fitment and poor quality workmanship.

As I mentioned early, there really is no point in saving $200 on a lip, only to spend an additional $300 in labour charges at the body shop to make it fit.

[shameless plug]
One other place that I can wholeheartedly recommend is Tim@mptuning. He is tims2k on the forum or his website is www.mptuningusa.com

He makes some really good quality replicas and they fit perfectly. He also has his own style lip which is a mix of the airwalker and the veilside lip if I am not mistaken.[/shameless plug]

Im just trying to help you out here - you cant go wrong with spugen - but dont just buy one off ebay for cheap because you will be disappointment. you only have to do a search on this board for "amuse" "lip" "fitment" to see what i mean.

Good Luck!
