Default Shop in the Naperville Area

Hello all,

First and foremost, does anyone recommend a shop that does quality work without being overkill on the price? I just moved to Naperville last week.

The problem:
My 2004 Honda Accord is having some issues. I was stuck in traffic waiting to get into the Indy 500 and I saw a little smoke coming from the hood. I looked down and the temperature guage was maxed out (the coolant in the overflow was boiling). I immediately shut it off and pushed it off the road. I blasted the defroster on max heat and the temperature guage went back to normal after a couple minutes. The car seemed to drive normal the whole way back from Indy. I got stuck in traffic on I-90 a few days ago and noticed the temperature starting to rise above the halfway point on the guage again. I continued driving blasting the heat and it returned to normal. I am not sure if this is a thermostat problem, or a fan problem, or what is going on. I know both fans kicked on when I turned on the defroster (checked when I was in the parking lot in Indy). I had the A/C on when I was stuck in traffic on I-90. I had the defroster on at a medium temperature when I was stuck in line for the Indy 500. I kind of want to take it to a shop rather than attempt to fix this myself to make sure nothing else was damaged. Again I am in the Naperville area and any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Have you at least checked the coolant level? It could just need coolant and be done.

Coolant level was fine. I'm thinking the thermostat might be getting stuck or there is a problem with a relay.
