Sure that White on Randall wasn't Silverstone? I live a couple of blocks from Randall & Huntley and I'm all over that neck of the woods on the weekend.

I've _never_ run a front plate. In 20 years of driving, I've been hassled a few times, but only as an accompanyment to some other infraction. The worst was not being allowed to enter Busse Woods without a front plate - hardly reason to install one. Having a front plate gives our friendly revenue generators, er, enforcement professionals, the perfect super-reflective target for long range laser radar; 2nd biggest reflective target on the front of a car are the headlights - thankfully our projector style limits this. The key to minimizing ticket exposure is not about being invisible to radar, it's more about being less visible than the cars around you...

That is, of course, why we've all chosen such speed-stealthy cars, right?

I saw a silverstone that day as well, but I couldn't remember if it was on Randall or not. That particular drive took me all the way to Lindenhurst. I saw 3 s2ks during the trip, but I could only remember the location of the white one.

Or maybe I'm confused.

Perhaps it's time to invest in the front license plate mounting hole plugs.

which actually should have come with the car when you bought it brand new. They come will ALL S2000s, and the dealers keep them if front plates are to be used - so in theory you should be able to walk into your dealer and claim back what you have already rightfully paid for.....keep us posted how it works out in practice tho

Flashed and waved to a top-up Spa Yellow 00-03 on rte14 travelling east, just east of Woodstock, about 8am this morning. Got a wave in return - mornin'!

I saw a 2002/2003 spa this morning (8/10) at about 8:15am heading east on Lake (rt20) in Elgin. I was behind you to rt59, and then to golf road, where you turned and I didn't. I didn't get e chance to catch up and wave, with traffic patterns as they were.

Also, those from previous posts will be glad to hear I"m now front-plate free.

I guess it was S2K's a gogo in C'ville over the weekend. In addition to seeing Ahad while driving through my own neighborhood (who'd have known?) I also saw a Yellow 00-03 over in Ahad's phase of the development, and then there's a new guy w/ (vanity plate starting with a "B") ANOTHER (that makes 3!) 04' Silverstone, about a block west of my house in the townhouse section of our subdivision. 5000 cars a year, and they're getting to be ubiquitous! If you're the guy w/ the Silverstone, I was the loon that was waving from the street, pointing to your open garage, and giving the thumbs up - didn't you used to have a mini?

Ahad - sorry to bug you Sunday morning; if you ever need an extra hand, jack, stand, tools, etc, I'm only a block away!

^ where do you live?

Saw two s2ks parked out side the wendys on golf and roselle. Sebring and Spa. They were parked on opposite sides of the lot. The spa had a mugen exhaust.

Saw a spa parked right behind me in the parking lot of myoda on roselle and golf, it had a drivers image banner on the front.
