So, who's ready for winter?
I haven't put on my winter tires and rims yet, but I'm thinking of doing it this weekend. Anyone have theirs on already or do you think it's too early?

I don't know if it's going to get much warmer. I'd say go for it. Typically, summer tires are more expensive per mile than winter tires. Save your summer tires for when you'll be able to take advantage of them.

I'm running the bridgestone RE760's they are a little greasy feeling on the turns already when cold in the morning.
I need to put winters on my DD. My old DD was killed by Bambi and my new one has Z rated tires on it. I don't know how the previous owner got through the winter with those things. They look like summer tires.
I REALLY wish I kept my snow tires and rims from the S because the bolt pattern is the same, and rim diameter would have fit. Some spacers would have put the offset in the right place.
I dunno. I'm tempted to stall until Mid-Late November to get my snow tires let alone put them on. I've generally gotten away with that, however I did get caught once in a really bad snow storm with my summers on the S2k a number of years ago. Then it was back in the mid 60s about a week later.
Ive got the Potenza S02s on the S and I can tell they've turned to hocky pucks when I leave work at 2:00 AM. And I don't need to turn corners to know that.

I don't drive my s in the snow, but I use Easter and Thanksgiving as guidelines for when I swap winter/summer tires on my other vehicle.
On a slightly similar note, this summer I replaced my rear stock RE050's with RE050A Pole Positions, and I have noticed very significantly improved cold weather grip. Drove my S to work this morning and it was freezing temps, yet I seemed to have alot of grip (way more than I'm use to).
