hi guys.

i would like to get some feedback from you guys about Speed Werx in IL. Is this place legit??

The only reason i ask is cause i orderd some J's parts back in April. I got two of the parts right away and was told maybe another 2 weeks or so for a strut bar and radiator cap that had to be ordered. well... it has now been months and have not recieved the remainder of my parts. I have tried calling and leaving messages and emailing and have not had a responce in over a month!

it is time i start feaking out and try to get my money back somehow, or wait it out longer? I figured you IL guys would know who this guy is or what the shop is personally to be able to help me out.

some feedback would be great.

Dave - you should pm Pinyo (Profpin), as he might know what has happened with Greg (owner of Speedwerx)

Greg is a legit guy. I wasn't aware that he opened a shop...he may still be operating as an "e-Biz".

He may still be waiting for stuff from Japan, so it's up to you whether you want to wait it out if he's given you a date that the rest of the stuff should have been to you by.

I haven't bought/ordered anything from him, but I do know a certain someone that I think has his whole car done through SpeedWerx (aka Profpin).

ok, thanks for the responses guys. I suppose he could just have a "e-biz" shop, i never really thought about it. I just know the phone number is for IL.

Its just frustrating cause i havent had an answer from him or an update on my parts for over a month. I have no date of arrival of the remaining parts either. I at least deserve an email for phone call...

Its only a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff... but its still important to me and its just the principal behind it also.

maybe i'll see what Profpin has to say about Greg.

Hmm...I met Greg through Pinyo once and he seems like a legit guy. I highly doubt he would take off with your money so you don't need to worry about that, but I hope he gets back to you soon with an update.

well, coincidentally, i just happen to get an email from him yesterday evening. he really didnt say much, just said that he would try to get me an update on monday cause he cant get ahold of the manager of J's, who happens to be the English speaking person there.

regardless, i still am not too happy about waiting 3 months for a strut bar with no ETA as of yet. and i think the customer service is pretty poor when you cant even return a phone call or email just because you have no new updates. At least let me know your alive.

ok, i'm done ranting now. sorry.


Shinji - you are the only one that i have had excellent service and return time on parts with since i've owned this car. I really appreciate that.

From the many times I have met Greg, he has always been a good guy and I dont forsee him trying to screw you out of money, however there is no excuse for piss poor customer service. If someone has your money and havent given you anything in return, I for one feel they have a duty to keep you updated on a regular basis

Well it has now been since the 29th that i have heard from him again. Was supposed to get an update last monday and nothing. Wrote another email on friday asking and still no response. Every time i call i still just get voice mail also. Have never been able to actually have a phone conversation with this guy.

I've never had such shitty response time and communication with a company before. I just want my money back now, but its pretty hard to talk about when you cant even get ahold of the guy!

hey dave....I totally forgot about this thread - the irony was Greg was standing with urmil and I watching the drifting for the longest time - and you were no more than 50 feet away!
