Speeding Ticket
I know there was just a post like this a few weeks ago, but my circumstance is slightly different.
I was on the beltline, speed limit 55, and the officer laser-ed me at 72mph. I quickly slowed down and waited to see the red and blue. I pull over, go through the procedures, make the cop laugh, everythigns good. I'm desperately hoping he can let me off(fat chance, but you never know) but when he comes back he reduced my ticket to only 10 over. I asked him if the court commissioner would be able to change it to a non-moving violation for insurance reasons, and he said probably not.
Does anyone in Wisconsin have experience with this? What was you outcome?
Also, this is my 2nd speeding ticket in Wisconsin in 3 years, if that makes a difference.

I had a 25 over ticket changed to a faulty muffler four years back in Walworth county.
I haven't had the same luck in Milwaukee, but I have always had either the $$$ or points reduced simply by showing up to my court date.
If you can afford the time off work, show up to your court date and request a pre-trial conference with an officer. If they give you the one on one you can simply ask that they change it to a non-moving violation.

You sir, are a lucky, lucky man.
Back to the topic. I would just apply for traffic school and do it online. It'll set u back like $120 but it's easier than going to court.

i have had a wide array of tickets, and in my experience, getting a lawyer is always the cheapest route (if the individual is good) It is cheaper than paying the ticket + court fee's + driving school and every time minus once i have just had my license handed back to me on the spot, with no driving school or supervision.
