well depending on the county, moving violations usually have mandatory supervision periods of 4 months minimum.

i hired a lawyer for my previous ticket but ended up not needing one. i received 4 months supervision, but always better to be safe incase the judge is an ass.

you will always have to pay court costs if you chose to go to court rather than the mail route which is for supervision and traffic school.

lawyer costs of course vary quite a bit, average probably around 200, my supervision and court costs for cook county eneded up $145

request it to be changed to driving without your license on your person. like you left your wallet at home, this is non moving in WI and will not transfer to IL.

stauren1203 , how did you do that and made the officer changed your ticket for just over 10 mph? I really wanted to know.

cos, i just got my 3 tickets in my life(these tickets are all 20+mph speeding) and the officer suppended my license. And my S possibly won't run through 3k miles again this year.

I would really appreciate that if you can share how you make the officer to give you a good deal?

It's my 3rd year in US, but still didn't figured any ways to make the officers to let me go.......any advises will help

jeff_lee_rey, Honestly, I just stayed relaxed. I figure a cop is still a person, so if you're nice, you're more likely to be let off.

it all just depends on the police officer that stops you...or how his/her day is going...you could be nice and get rammed with out lube...
