Does the s2000 need a rollbar installed to run at GingerMan or are the factory roll hoops OK?

I posted up the same event, but I mis-read the date of the event. I put down the event as being on the 9th. Glad I didn't show up that day.

Speedtrials and Gingerman have always allowed S2000s with factory rollhoops.

Great, so from what I've been reading, new brake fluid and pads are pretty much a necessity, right? I have a new sa05 helmet and decent s02's, anything else?

Nope, you should be good to go. I like the Carbotech pads. Either ATE Superblue Fluid or Motul600. Stainless lines down the road wouldn't hurt, but are not a necessity for an S2000.

Hmm, I bought some valvoline synthetic brake fluid over a year ago and never even opened it. Would that work ok for my 1st event?

I have been chatting with a guy at Carbotech he would like to do a GB on pads. Any clue how to go about setting this up? He said we would need an order for 12-15 axle sets.

I believe a groupbuy would have to be done through the local community unless you pay to become a vendor on S2ki. (Or use a local vendor as a proxy.)

I just bought new pads so I don't need any.

Joe, as Harry indicated you are going to want a fluid with higher boiling point than a DOT3 can provide. Especially if you are running aftermarket pads they will run hotter. You are going to be much better off doing a full flush with ATE or Motul.

I have run the valvoline synthetic on my past two cars with Project Mu max level 900 race pads with no issues or fading over an entire season. I plan on running this in the S2k as well.

The valvoline I have is the synpower and says on the bottle "exceeds dot 4" That should be ok huh? Only problem is I've never done a full flush on brake fluid before.

Also, I'd definitely be in on a group buy if we can have them before the 14th of July.
