Screw the group buy. If you call them direct and tell them you're with Honda-Tech, they will give you a 10% discount.

OR

They have a pad and rotor special. Buy pads from them, and you can buy 2 rotors at $17-$18 a piece. I paid $193 for 2 front rotors and XP10 pads. Pretty sweet deal.

This hobby is a big money pit...
What kind of rotors did you get?

I know I'm asking for a lot here, but I decided to hold off until winter on the helmet purchase, so I can get it for cheaper. Does anyone have an extra helmet they can bring for me?

Just your standard OEM replacement Autozone/Pepboys type rotors. That's all you need for track days. Having tracked for several years, the fancy rotors don't give you any more performance or longevity for the premium you pay. The track pads are pretty brutal on the rotors, so after I kill the pads, I toss the rotors. A set of nice track pads and some autozone rotors is just perfect.

So there were a couple of other S2000s there, but I don't know if you guys are on this board. There was one with Mich tags (on RA-1s), a sebring with IL tags, and a silver AP2 that I don't think ever made it on the track.

Running Gingerman backwards was a refreshing change!

Oh, you gota Chebby? nice

yeah, the hardtop makes me feel a little safer, although the extra 50 pounds right at the top of the car make the car noticably roll more. Oh well, safety for speed

I am not convinced the removable hardtop adds to any safety aspect that perhaps arm restraints wouldn't solve too.

However, since you've got it, use it.
