There is a Holiday Inn Express just down the road, within 1 mile. Also a comfort inn and a couple others. I work right by there so I know what's around.

Best prices I can find are web prices. I normally try to call the hotel and get Government pricing (yes, I'm one of those), but the web pricing beats even GOV rates. Weird.

Yes. The long range forecast that I've seen for this coming weekend is cloudy on Saturday and rain on Sunday, though we'll have a better idea how the weather will be later this week.

STILL having trouble getting Saturday off

Clubrsx guys are asking if this is still happening. I told them yes, so far. Shall we have a final verdict by tomorrow, weather permitting? Or is this happening rain or shine? I'd like to give the guys out of state or who are coming from afar a heads up of what everyone thinks. Don't want y'all making the trek if everyone is going to back out if there indeed is drizzle/rain. What do you guys think?..

FWIW, according to the latest forecast the weather Saturday should be okay, but the later that we make the final call the better (i.e. Friday, if possible). JoePhotographer from Cincinnati can't make it, so to the best of my knowledge that leaves YCL as the only long-distance participant. I'll be contacting a few guys tomorrow and trying to see what their thoughts are. I guess what everyone needs to decide is whether or not they're interested in doing this in the rain. While my car doesn't melt if it gets wet, I'm not a huge fan of spirited outings through driving rainstorms and on wet, possibly slick roads. Thoughts?

I am taking this opportunity to explore Chicago as well, hence I have already booked hotels for two nights. If we did not end up gathering on Saturday, I would wander around downtown Chicago.

Well, this forecast sounds pretty good! A little on the cool side but at least they're calling for it to be dry.
