Stepping down as CO...
Just want to give the community a heads up.
I've asked for the site admins to appoint Keith, Andy, and Paul as CO's moving forward. Once they are appointed, I've asked to be taken off as a CO. Going from there, if there is enough energy for the UMW needing to vote on its CO's, Keith, Andy, and Paul can decide how to move forward.
The first few years as a CO (and even before being a CO), this was very fun and fulfilling. The community was VERY inclusive with no real cliques to speak of. Everyone that participated had different interests, from track to show to 'keep it stock'...but everyone shared ideas, time, tips, food, and MANY beverages regardless of age, race, gender, financial background.
My plan was to try and get that back, or at least get the momentum going, this season. I also had planned to step down as that momentum got going and CO's were added. However, this has gotten to be one major headache while trying to manage my career, my personal life, and most importantly time with my kids.
This past year, I've been able to find a job quite quickly after getting laid off, be with my two kids and wife, finally go on a vacation...the only thing missing, time with my S2000's and having fun around S2000-related stuff.
My hope that without having to focus on UMW, I can and will find time for enjoying my S2000's and S2000 centered activities. After 10 years, I'm still really stoked about the car...in the past it was my enthusiam that was contagious...now that it's gone, I'm hoping to find it again.
For those of you that made this fun and fulfilling, sincerely, thank you. For those of you that I've befriended, definitely keep in touch. I hope to meet the many new owners that come around and continue to hang out and talk to those that share S2000 enthusiasm.
Thank you.
