I run Yoko Advan S4's most of the year and now have Dunlop Direzza's for when it's warmer out. I've heard a lot of excellent feedback on the Direzza's which is why I got them, I'm not much of a Bridgestone fan.

I don't know what Bridgestone is thinking with the 050PP at $185 / $220 for the sizes you mention... the higher performance RE-11 is $1-2 cheaper a tire...

The Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec is better performing than the 050, and is much cheaper: $133 / $165

Also consider the Kumho Ecsta XS ($122 / $145) and Hankook Ventus R-S3 ($142 / $152)

---

Note, all of these tires are all for spring/summer/fall use only. Not that you would have wanted to run the 050s in the winter either...

RE050A are actually fairly cheap in comparison to other tires like the Michelin PS2.

I would just browse tire rack and such, see what you can get on special or clearance, and go with that.

I swear by Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Can't break the rear end loose if I try. Not the cheapest option though.

PS2s are $188 / $238 vs 050PP at $185 / $220. For those prices, buy the RE-11.

well last few years have been tracked and autocross pretty regularly but this year is pretty tight on the cash so maybe a few autocross days but i do drive pretty spirited on the road so i dont want something to compromise handling
