Trunk lid lock question
Okay, so I bought a new (used) trunk to mount my new wing to and the seller included all the OEM parts on the trunk lid.
So, my question is will my keyless fob unlock the new trunk (I didn't get a key for it) since it has all the hardware on it, or will it not work since my keyless system is for my car. I only have the factory keyless system, not an alarm.
I'm guessing the trunk release inside the secret compartment will also work (I hope) with the new trunk, but I don't know if the key fob will work as well.
I will be swapping trunks off & on for track days, so I'll need the hardware to stay on each trunk as is. So, I'll have 2 trunks that need to be functional.
Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The remote unlock (both fob and trunk release button) sends a signal to the trunk lock cylinder, so all you have to do is unclip the wire that runs through the trunk, yank out the trunk, replace it with the new one, push-pull the wire through the new trunk, clip everythin in place again, and (hey presto), you're good to go.
I tried, and it didn't seem too hard. The wire part, that is. I didn't physically remove the trunk

I couldn't remember how many wires go to the trunk. I know of the one for the 3rd brake light, but mine isn't connected, so I wasn't sure how the rest worked.
Sam, you could always swap the lock cylinder also, it looks like it's pretty easy to do from my factory service manual. (Like 2 bolts).
I would do that as a precautionary measure in case of some electrical component failure. That way you're not stuck trying to get the trunk off and possibly damaging it.
