I'm back from picking up my new S2000. Let me tell you that 1050 miles in my S2K is not kind on my 6'6" frame.

I love the car though. I'm washing and waxing it tonight. Hopefully the drive into Chicago will be the last time it ever sees snow and road salt

Took delivery of my 2006 Red S2K last week. I will be using it as my daily driver. As I live in the Chicago area and have to deal with winter, I have replaced the OEM Potenza 050's with Pirelli PZero Nero M+S.

With only about 150 miles on them (the Potenza's), is there any interest out there to purchase them?

At any rate, looking forward to meeting with new faces.

JD,

Welcome to ownership of a fine vehicle. Hope to meet you at one of the many Chicago-area gatherings we have every "driving season".

A suggestion for you though...keep the summer performance tires. Have them remounted in mid-Spring, and let the car's performance shine. The S2000 is truely a different car on winter tires vs. summer performance tires.

Luder94,
Thanks for the welcome!

Unfortunately, I have no room for another set of tires. Already have a set of OEM Potenza 040's from an Audi in my attic (would like to get rid or them as well) and a set of radials mounted from my 67 Vette.

Anyone interested?

Buy an extra set of wheels and mount snow tires. Keep a good set of wheels and summer tires for the other 3 months .
