Bet that is a Huge Difference, at least you are used to all the Looks we get Driving our Masterpiece.

Do you still have your Insight, and how did you like it ?

I still have it... Work in Bridgeview Il.... Long ride from my house....
Its one of the most fantastic vehicles Ive ever owned.... Great gas mileage, and the fun to drive factor is there.... Its slow... But still gives the driver enjoyment with all the wizardry going on to make that car acheve its goal.... If new models of the Insight were still still being built I would buy another... Sad is the case.... The last new one rolled off the line July 1st... The Insight is no more....

But a new chapter has been opened with my latest addition.... I have fallen for this Raven beauty.... The 03 Berlina .... What a blast of a car to drive... Everything I have ever wanted in a drivers car.... With what seems like a great group of people to go with it.... S2kI is very simular to insightcentral.net... Nothing but enthusiasts and there babys....

To answer your signature Question.... You dont hear the Chevy or the pole disenigrating..... You just hear my International Digger Derrick tearing up your yard to replace the pole.......

Im a Lineman for Sbc/ATT....

Hello all... Just stopped by to introduce myself. I got my '03 Silverstone/Red about a month ago. I have a friend who raved about his so I took the plunge, sold the Mini and scoured the Internet for my car. I had to have an AP1 and I liked the glass in the back window. Silverstone was a great color and when I found the all red interior I knew I had to have it. I looked long and hard and finally found it at a dealership in Atlanta. The 2000 mile road trip I had home was a great time for me and VTEC to get aquainted! Now its time to spend money on the Mods. Would love to be included in the reindeer games now that I am an owner. Can anyone tell me if they are running the Avon M500's?

Thanks,
Roger

Martin (SR71BB) runs the Avon M500s, I believe.

Welcome aboard. I assume you're a hockey fan?

Hockey is the American man's soccer! Who needs the world cup? I'm a Redwing/Michigan hockey fan. Let's hope for a better season next year from both of them. As for the Avons... I need some new meat and wondered how the Avons rode. They get great reviews but no one I know has run them yet.

Thanks WSBilly,
Roger

Michigan?

I went to Michigan Tech... got introduced to the game up there. Granted they perenially suck. Some hockey people have an ongoing discussion thread in the corner... https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=380379

I'd PM SR71BB and ask him what he thinks. He uses them primarily as a rain/general use tire.

Seriously consisdering retiring next fall to the South Bend area to be closer to family. How do the Goodyear F1 GSD3's do in the snow??? Many S2K owners in the South Bend / Granger area?

Not sure why you'd want to live in South Bend. At least go up to South Haven or Michigan City.

GSD3s suck in the snow. Buy a 2nd set of wheels and get proper snow tires mounted if you're going to drive it year round. Or just buy a winter beater.

I agree with Billy... South Bend is the arm pit of Indiana... Try SW lower Michigan. I grew up there and real estate is fairly reasonable. If you golf there are plenty of courses to keep you busy... BTW, whats the going rate on a set of stock OEM AP1 wheels f someone is looking to pick up a second set? Also I had Pirelli Nero Zeros on my Mini and they seemed to give pretty good performance and snow drivability. Would you recommend something else for a snow tire?

I have M500's on my 03 (stock sizes).... I dont know the difference between this and any other tire on the S2K... This is what my car was bought wearing....
What I can say is that they seem well planted.... Ride is not bad at all for a roadster....
I had done some research on them and found out the compound is no good below 35F....
Ive had the car full tilt in the curves (at my limit) and they seem to hold exceedingly well....

Hope this gives you some idea of what your looking at.....

Patrick
